A Rover I
by Cosmic Poet Simon Pole
A rover I, who ever roams
At water’s edge, where roar the foams,
Where dies the surf, and dance my feet
Where sand and ocean struggle, meet.
A watcher I, who scans the coast,
Where phantom ship and restless ghost
Still ply the wreck-lanes after death,
And chilly is the whispered breath.
