A head explodes,
The world corrodes,
The patter of police guns.
A frisson grips
Our mortal trip,
A zombie war begun.

Virus from space,
Or failed nuke-race,
The refuse of lab-flubbed chance.
No demon horde,
Or circuit board,
Conducts the cannie dance.

No scrivened spell,
No tomes of he…
