Good Humour

On the street friends move in groups,
Back and forth, around the loop
Of the park to table bare
At the café waiting there,
Where in rounds the drinks are served:
Thus good humour is observed.

It is Spring which calls us forth,
After months of Winters north,
With damp rains and bitter …
