I Am Space: A Sacred Poem

I Am Space
On the edge of space so-called,
I lay in my bed and bawled
At the reaches, curving dome
Which through the roof of my home
Made itself so sudden known—
Then to me were wonders shown
Of the stars, and sprinkled streaks
Which of ancient birthing speaks.
Then the voice behind it all
To me, supine-sleepe…
