Why, why in such a hurry?
Like a mouse who with fury
Attacks the dull block of cheese
And away seeks to scurry
Before the cat, him who sees
Makes a feast of ears and knees.

Why the hoarded money bag
Sequestered deep with a drag
In the harbour, where it’s cold,
And the sunlight …
