Leaves They Linger
Leaves they linger in the tree,
While the vine encircles me,
Green of heart the winter through,
Blossoms at my feet I strew.
Winter’s bride, and Summer’s beau,
Both sides of man, this I know:
Male and female intertwined,
Seasons, circles, kith and kind.
Once a statue on a block,
Chiseled out…
