Love of Life

In the crypt there dripped echoing waters,
And a ceiling where roots grew through the rock.
With broken masonry, urn and angel,
The floor was strewn, and the walls buckled with
Ballooning limestone, which the ages marked.
A dank odour not of death, but matters
Undead and disturbed, the quiet air clog…
