O Great God

O God, God, God of mine;
What dread has settled
In my heart tightly kettled,
Fearing futures yet unspun
By the wheel—but they must run.
Let your comfort on me shine
Utmost God, one God of mine.

O God, God, God who gives,
In temples of rust
I invested all my trust.
