Love let us linger and behold this child,
Laid in a manger with animals mild,
Bowed claw and hoof, ranks in rev’rence around,
While with glad trumpet the heavens resound;
In fields shepherds murmur, hear what they say,
That Jesus of Nazareth is born this day,
Proclaimed by the sky, with angel…
