The Gargoyle

On the rooftops I reside,
In the chimneys I me hide,
Down the wall I make my way,
There to wait the break of day.

I am Gargoyle, made of stone,
And your buildings are my throne,
Where I’ve lived uncounted years,
Out of hearing of your ears,
And the sight of downcast eyes,
Who my shape…
