Orphan wolf of evening avoid my door,
When empty the trails and empty the trees
Their knotted bones shake, and covet you more
What your stiff snout sniffs, and crooked eye sees.
There rattles a shutter, screeching its creak
Which winds agitate against binding chain,
As in the tavern men mutte…
